Afia Schwar began her Leave to Live campaign following the collapse of her marriage to Lawrence Abrokwah whom she has accused of assault and domestic abuse.

Her campaign has led to the unveiling of her new foundation, which is dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence, and identifying toxic partners long before they become deadly.

She is currently in the middle of divorce proceedings with estranged husband Abrokwah, whom she was married to for just a year.
